Agriculture is the backbone of any country including India. It is a primary source of occupation Indian people because almost more than 70-75 % of the population in India is directly or indirectly dependent on agriculture for its livelihood.
In India there are Lots of fertile lands are available this fertile land is ideal for the production of crops, fruits, trees, minerals, etc.
in India, farmers are taking care of the whole process of agriculture like sowing seeds, harvesting crops, watering, etc.
They were using different types of agriculture machinery like combine, plough, rotavator, leveler, tractor for this purpose.
Since ancient times, India was known as world reformer, we were well known for our agriculture expertise. People from different places in the world come here to study agriculture science.
A major part of the economy is obtained from the agriculture sector in India.
The Indian farmers are well aware of the soil, land fertility, quality of seeds, etc. They also know the procedure of farming and when and what should be produced.
In India Government is introducing several schemes and concessions to farmers. The government of India is also providing farming education to farmers about how to increase the productivity of the land. They also providing subsidiaries on agriculture machines and providing agriculture insurance.
Indian Government is very much concern about a good return from cultivations. In the present scenario, there are many places in India where agriculture is not given much importance.
People from this reason fail to understand the importance of this sector. Very few people, for this reason, select this field as a career or occupation.
For encouraging that people government is providing agriculture camp for educating them, even the government offering agriculture loans for the same. Some of the major drawbacks in Indian agriculture are improper irrigation facilities, scarcity of essential commodities, and low financial ability of farmers, fertilizer and chemicals, non-availability of quality seeds. The result of the above entire drawbacks is the backwardness of agriculture in India. Considering the serious issue in the agriculture sector the government is taking several steps to improve the productivity of the agriculture sector.
